Meditation Classes

We offer a wide variety of classes both in person in Davenport once a week and via livestream  several times a week. These classes range from basic introductions to Buddhist meditation, applying Buddha’s teachings to daily life issues such as anger and improving relationships, to comprehensive study programs of Buddhist view, meditation, and action.

The General Program classes consist of talks and guided meditations suitable for everyone. Our class design always includes two guided meditations and a short talk or teaching on a topic suitable for busy, modern people. The emphasis is on integrating Buddha’s teachings into our lives. Although some classes are  taught as a series, each class is self-contained, so feel free to attend any one. 


Courses and Events

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to enhance our practice by engaging in Friday Night Lectures, Saturday Half-Day Courses, retreats, or special events with guest teachers. These are currently offered via livestream with KMC Madison. Our courses and events are suitable for everyone, regardless if you are new to meditation, or have been practicing for a while. With teachings on practical Buddhist philosophy and guided meditations, these events provide a welcome break from our busy lives, and leave us feeling refreshed and energized. Following Buddha’s special advice, we can relax our mind and become of greater benefit to others.
